LM Education Alliance
Loto Ministries is excited to announce the LM Education Alliance. At the beginning of Summer this year God stirred up Loto’s heart even more for the students and the education of our community’s youth, so much so, he started praying about God’s direction in reaching schools. Talk about answered prayers. In October Loto joined “Champions for Tomorrow” and along with some of our country’s top speakers, reached 30,000 students. Over a span of 3 days they visited, 50 schools, and held 70 assemblies throughout Central California.
At the beginning of this school year Loto Ministries partnered up with the Fresno Unified Men’s and Women’s Alliance. The program was developed in 2009 to address the staggering drop-out rate amongst the students of Fresno Unified School District. This elective course goes beyond the realm of academia. It offers activities that promotes professionalism, coping methods, and college and career readiness on middle and high school sites. In this short amount of time Loto has already spoken on 5 sites and has over 20 to go.
Loto presents a very simple yet powerful message entitled, The Fast Lane, which reveals the raw truth about taking the easy road. He makes it clear that easy roads are a myth. For those who take them, work twice as hard because they eventually run into a dead end and must start all over again. Loto’s honesty about the lure of the fast lane causes students to lean in and are shocked when Loto exposes in a very dramatic way that he is blind. This leaves the room in a deafening silence, giving Loto an uninterrupted platform to drive home the point that nobody rides on the fast lane for free. He explains the other costs of fast living; your dreams, your identity, your freedom, and unfortunately sometimes your life. The students also learn about the off ramps they need to take to get off the fast lane. This message addresses the struggles our young people generally face every day; peer pressure, bullying, low self-value, substance abuse, and risking their education. The Fast Lane is only one of many presentations Loto will be sharing in schools. This is phase 1 of the alliance.
Loto Ministries is so grateful for these opportunities and those who have partnered with Loto in this important alliance such as, Champions for Tomorrow and the Men’s and Women’s Alliance of Fresno Unified. Loto Ministries would also like to extend an opportunity for those who would like to partner with LM Education Alliance. Loto does not charge the Men’s and Women’s Alliance to speak in their classes. He believes strongly in their mission and doesn’t want money to be a hurdle in reaching these students. Rather, he counts on the generous support of a community that cares about their young people and the many friends and family God has blessed him with throughout the years, who believe in what God is doing through Loto Ministries.
